To provide fisheries information and education to the public through research publication and reports

The Unit will perform the following activities:-

• Inform the public on programmes and activities undertaken by the institute
• Produce and disseminate documents such as bronchures, articles, newsletters on operations of the institute
• Ensure the information on the institute's website are relevant and up-dated
• Maintain continued communcation and dialogue and engagement with all stakeholders
• Coordinate press briefings for the institute
• Liaise with the Director of Research Development and Coordination, Centre Directors and Head of Departmrnts/Sections regarding research publications and reports
• Promote Institutional activities, programs and policies; and
• Ensure that the institute's image is well maintained and protected

The Unit will be led by a Head who will be equivalent to Principal Officer
